Undergraduate Recrutiment Programs

All pre-college diversity efforts focus on increasing the number of underserved minorities and women who enter science and engineering programs at the college level, with a particular emphasis on working in Nano-CEMMS.  Our efforts include an undergraduate scholarship program which aims to provide opportunities for students.  Nano-CEMMS also introduces nanotechnology and, in particular, nanomanufacturing, directly to an academically, geographically, racially/ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse mix of students in summer camp sessions and in school programs. Lastly, Nano-CEMMS recruits K-12 teachers from schools with highly diverse student populations in order to ensure that our programs and materials reach a diverse mix of students.
