a campus event
The Nano-CEMMS Center runs two summer programs for undergraduate students:
- The Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)
- The Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP)
These programs are designed and supervised by the faculty and graduate students of the Center. Both offer opportunities for students to present their research. Interested students must meet the following criteria:
- They are majoring in the physical sciences or engineering,
- They have at least one year remaining prior to completing their degree,
- They are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
We have also developed an undergraduate scholarship as part of our effort to diversify science, technology, and engineering fields. This scholarship is awarded to four incoming students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign who demonstrate academic potential and a sincere insterest in nanomanufacturing. For more information about this scholarship, please read its full description, which includes the necessary application form.
