Direct Ink Write Process

Lead Faculty Researcher:
Jennifer Lewis, MatSE, Illinois
Established rapid patterning process using pressure driven microfluidic deposition nozzle with concentrated inks composed of metallic nanoparticles, sol-gel oxides, or polymers to create complex planar and 3D structures. Current research focuses on creating inks suitable for micro-patterning electrically transparent and ionically conducting oxides for applications in photonics, sensors, displays and fuel cells.
